Siena Heights University is a private, coeducational Roman Catholic university located in Adrian in the U.S. state of Michigan. Founded and sponsored by the Adrian Dominican Sisters, Siena Heights is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools .
Siena Heights University offers associate's, bachelor's and master's degrees. Beyond the 46 acre (186,000 m²) residential campus at the headquarters in Adrian, there are degree completion centers in Southfield, Monroe, Jackson, Battle Creek, Lansing, Benton Harbor, and Port Huron. It also offers a theological program in partnership with the Diocese of Lansing. In the 2003-2004 academic year, there was a total enrollment of 2,153 students.
The institution was founded in 1919 as St. Joseph's College for women and was renamed Siena Heights College in 1939, honoring Saint Catherine of Siena, Italy. It became coeducational in 1969 and was renamed Siena Heights University in 1998.
